In a significant move to bolster school infrastructure and operational efficiency, the Directorate of School Education and Samagra Shiksha, Telangana, has officially sanctioned the balance 50% of the Composite School Grant (CSG) for the academic year 2025-26.
This release follows the initial 50% installment disbursed earlier in the academic year. The current sanction, amounting to Rs. 29,74,42,500/-, is directed toward schools with an enrollment of 11 students and above.
Who Receives the Grant?
The funds are being credited directly to the School Management Committees (SMCs) or AAPCs of various government-managed institutions, including:

Government and Local Body Schools

KGBVs (Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas)

Model Schools
-
Tribal Welfare Primary Schools (TWPS)

Sports Schools and other State Government Schools
Note: Schools with zero enrollment and those designated as PM SHRI schools are excluded from this specific disbursement.
Understanding the Grant Slab Structure
The Composite School Grant is allocated based on student enrollment strength. This ensures that larger schools receive the necessary resources to maintain their expansive facilities.

Guidelines for Fund Utilization
The State Project Director, Dr. E. Naveen Nicolas, I.A.S., has emphasized that the expenditure must align with the approved Annual Work Plan and Budget (AWP&B) 2025-26.
SMCs are encouraged to use these funds for:

Maintenance & Repairs: Minor repairs of toilets, drinking water facilities, and school buildings.

Consumables: Purchase of chalks, dusters, and stationery.

Cleanliness: Implementation of Swachhta initiatives within the school premises.

Learning Environment: Enhancing classroom facilities and green cover.
